Dental Implant-Supported Restorations
Dental implants are small, root-like posts made from biocompatible titanium. Implants are inserted into the jawbone to act as supportive anchors for a dental crown, bridge, or denture for more realistic tooth replacement. Each implant restores stimulation in your jawbone when you bite and chew, promoting a healthy flow of nutrients to your jawbone to prevent it from losing strength and density following tooth loss.
What to Expect
To ensure that you receive the best dental implant treatment, Dr. George will refer you to a trusted oral health specialist who will surgically place your implant posts. Then, after your jawbone has healed, Dr. George can secure your lifelike restoration to complete your smile restoration.
If you’ve lost teeth to gum disease, or if you’ve lost a significant amount of jawbone structure, then you may require periodontal treatment or other prerequisite procedures before qualifying for implant placement. After a thorough examination, Dr. George will discuss your eligibility for implant placement to rebuild your smile.
